I Am SO In LOVE With This Girl!

Birthday
Today is my baby's 2nd birthday!  It really is crazy to think that 2 years have gone by.   She came into this world at 8 lbs 8 oz and 20 inches long at 5:54pm and now...

1st Birthday

... She is 25 lbs and 35 inches tall!
She loves to play with her big brother Jac and tries to do everything
he does.  She sticks her tongue out at the appropriate time :P and
can say all sorts of things.  She when she starts using real words
in sentences I am sure we will learn SO much!  She loves
Winnie the Pooh and can sing the Batman theme song.  She loves
to paint and color and  is happiest when she is outside playing
and getting dirty.  She also has the most expressive facial features of
ANY little kid that I have ever met!  She gives the best hugs and is
quick to give them and she LOVES to give kisses.  I am SO happy
to have her in my life and could not imagine it without her!

Birthdays!!!

I LOVE birthdays! And in June I definitely get my fill of them :)  My kids Jac, and Reese, my sister in laws Brittany and Miki, and my siblings Kade, Karlee, and Riley are all this month and that is just family!

Aunt Alli and Uncle Riley's gift from Peru

What they gave Jer and I :)

Aunt Brandi's hat that Reese wants to wear all the time :)
We celebrated Jac and Reese on the 2nd with a little party and it was great!  We just played in some water and had some dutch oven chicken and potatoes.  It was a lot of fun and we had friends and family here that made it such and wonderful day.

The End and Begining

Karlee

Tara and Eric
Alli and Riley
I love this time of year.  I love the earlier mornings (even though I haven't gotten up), the longer days, the 70 degree days, working in my yard and letting my kids play outside. It is also graduation time and this year it matters because I have SO many people that I love walking. My older sister Tara and my sister-in-law Alli are graduating with their Bachelors from Dixie.  My younger brother Riley Ty is getting his associates from Dixie also.  My brother-in-law Eric recently passed all he needed to become a Paramedic and my little sister Karlee is getting her Bachelors from SUU.  I graduated college at the U in 2007 and it honestly seems so long ago :(  Before me, my sister Stef had graduated with a Bachelors and then went on to get her Masters. My parents (especially my mom) have always stressed to us how important college is.  I think because she didn't go, she wanted that opportunity for us.  I LOVED college.  I went for two years at SUU when I was 19-21 and finished up at the U when I was 23-26 and both college experiences were great.  I made memories and had experiences that I think back on often.  Jeremy (he is almost done with his Bachelors) and I talk all the time about how we want to stress the importance of going to college to our kids too. I grew a lot and learned a lot about myself during those times.  It was not always easy, but then nothing ever worth anything is.  I am so proud of my family.  I think of how crazy and hard it was and these people are doing it with spouses and families.  So even though I know most of them won't see this blog,  Good Job, and I love you all!

Having a Blast...

Actually, Jeremy did.  He has had kidney stones for a few months now and because of some blood issues it has taken him a long to to finally be able to get them taken care of.  He had two stones, one was almost a 9mm and one was a 6mm.  Considering that the, um "passageway" is only 4mm they were huge!  We went to the hospital today at 9am and he had a procedure called Lithotripsy.  Basically he lays on a waterbed and they send sonic waves through it to blast them apart.  The doctor said he would probably have bruising on his back and that it was normal.  All I can say is "Wow, they must have hit hard to cause bruising".  He is doing great though and has some good pain killers if he needs them :)
Jac has been doing great this week.  He is finally over his turn with sickness and it is Reese's turn (yay...not)  She has been throwing up, but we have some medicine that helps and she seems to be doing better...
Last night was quite the adventure.  I had taken the kids with me to Milford (even though Reese didn't feel so good) to pick up a good friend.  She had agreed to come stay the night and stay with the kids so that I could be with Jeremy today at the hospital.  I had made dinner and we were just sitting down when Reese "got sick" all down the front of her.  After cleaning her up and her seat, Jac informed me that he could not eat what we were having because he "can't like it" (seriously what kids doesn't like tater tot casserole?) .  I put on some water to boil to make soup for Reese because I was not feeding her the casserole and she started throwing her plate and fork around and Jac was not whining loudly.  I got the soup made and the phone was ringing...  (several things started happening here to where I got to the point that I was a little frazzled) So much so that when my son came up to me and showed me his finger with a little red line on it, I quickly told him it was just punch.  I wiped it off with my finger and stuck it in my mouth to show it wouldn't hurt him.  As soon as I do this the little red line reappeared... "Awesome, I just ate my kids blood..."  My friend started laughing so hard I thought she was going to cry.  Needless to say, bedtime couldn't come fast enough :)

Although things are crazy around here from time to time, we really do have a lot of fun.  I think now, our turn for being sick should be over :)
These are just a few pictures from the last little while.  These first two are of Reese's creation.  That is butter
that she has shoved into the vacuum attachment :) and it's all over the floor.

As part of Jac and Reese's Christmas we got rid of their crib and toddler beds and put up the bunk beds (that I have been saving since college) and got them some fun bedding.  I wish I could say this made bed time a breeze, but I can't.  I do however find Reese kissing her pillow :)

A Little Catch Up

December really flew by and January is doing the same.  I wanted to blog something before February came :)  We had a wonderful Christmas.  We had the opportunity to have my a friend come and spend Christmas weekend with us.  His name is Andrew and I had the privilege to teach him the missionary discussions in South Carolina years ago.  It was so much fun to see him.  He really has embraced the Gospel and it's so good to see how his life has been blessed.  I will admit though that sometimes it's hard for me to remember he is an adult :)  When we taught him he was 15 and then I saw him again at 17.  Anyway, it was so much fun to have him with us.
Christmas Eve, my dad had hooked up his trailer to his truck and got some hay bales and hung lights around and we got my sister Karlee's violin, Kade's cello, neice Eden's violin and a keyboard for me to play and we went around the neighborhood caroling.  It was really cold, but we had so much fun.
Christmas morning was so nice. Jac had been asking for a Lightening McQueen car (this will make #5 for Lightening).  His Pop Pop had gotten him a train set too.  So we set the cars on the couch and the train set down in front, as he came up the stairs he was so excited and when he walked up he just saw the train and his face fell a little, " I wanted Lightening McQueen, not a train!" When we showed him the car, he got really excited and said " Oh, yay, Lightening McQueen and a train.  That's good."  I was glad that he wasn't to disappointed he got the train set ;)  Reese got a baby doll and although she doesn't carry it around non stop, every once in awhile she does play with her and gives her hugs and kisses.  It was a beautiful day that we got to spend with our family.

A pictures we made.  Jac and Reese did the antlers all by their selves.
Jac and Eden got Andrew to rack the leaves into a pile at the bottom of the deck and then jumped off into them.
Andrew was so fun to have with us and was such a good sport with the kids.  Everyone wanted to play with him.
We kept the babies in the back.  It's always good to confine Reese, especially when a moving truck is involved

The grandkids (minus Myrrhin, She didn't want to be bothered :)  in the pj's Nana made for them.  Notice how we had to roll the bottom of Reese's... I think Nana thought she was 6 :)

I love the holidays and love being home in St. George with family,
but it is really nice to sleep in my own bed :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful new year and I will tray to be better at this ;)
