A Little Something About Everything

Someday I will have the Internet and I will be able to blog all the time. As it is I am at the mercy of my sister and her husband for the use of their laptop.
So I will sort of go through what we have been doing the last couple of months.
For the 4th of July we went down to Washington for the annual foot races and Jac won first place in his age group. In fact his cousins Eden, Isis and Lydia won first in all of their age groups too. It was a lot of fun, HOT, but fun. the Jac LOVES to play with his cousins.

Later in July we went to our McMullin Family reunion, which is always camping for a few days. The weather was nice and we just hung out playing card games, visiting and we even did a little fishing. Jac was so excited, we got him on video doing a little dance while he sang "Fishy fishy fishy". I wanted so bad for someone to catch a fish so that Jac could see one, but no one did... well Jeremy did about 15 minutes after Jac and I left. I learned how to play domino's and Jac had a blast getting dirty and wandering around outside. Jeremy got tons of mosquito bites and he and Jac slept in the tent while Reese and I got to sleep in the trailer.

A week after the reunion we had Reeses' blessing. We had a lot of friends and family come and we are so grateful to everyone who came to support our little family. A couple of days before Sunday, I thought I might try her dress on her ( I was feeling like playing dress up) and as soon as I got her dress on her she spit up all over it and I was so mad at myself because when I tried to wipe it off I put some snags on the dress. Thankfully you can't see them unless to get really close though.
We had the luncheon outside in our front yard which was great except for the uninvited flies. Although the kids had a great time trying to kill all of them.

I apologize for such a long post. I really don't have anything to do right now because yesterday I herniated a disk in my lower back. I laid on the floor for about an hour before Jeremy could get home to help me up. It's a good thing Jac could get my phone from the other room when I asked. I was getting Reese out of her swing when it happened. Thankfully I was able to get her to the couch before I fell to the floor. Then I just pulled her down with me.
I'm so thankful to my parents. My dad came up yesterday and watched the kids while I went to the doctors and my mom came up today to help me while Jeremy finished working on the things he has to get done for work on Monday.

2 Years Old!!!

I can't believe that Jac just turned two yesterday! Just having Reese a few days ago made me think back to his birth and it seriously seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital! I sat down and looked through his pictures last night and I wanted to share some of them with you all.
He is such an amazing person. He keeps us on our toes :) So sweet and loving, yet in the blink of an eye he can be up to no good. He is repeating everything we say and loves to watch Toy Story and Cars and LOVES to give his little sister kisses... hard kisses. We have to keep a very close eye on him :)
Happy Birthday Toad, We love you!!!

She is here!

Reese Pearl Christensen is finally here (and has a name) :)
Jeremy and I went into the hospital at 2am and I was given a pill (Cytotek) around 3am to induce labor. I started having contractions, but I was slowly dialating. My doctor came in around 10:45am and broke my water. The contractions became so much worse and lucky me the Anesthesiologist was in a C-section :) I had to wait for almost 2 hours for him. Then the first epidural fell out about an hour and a half after and I had to get another one! Honestly though, he did such a good job sticking me I barely noticed him doing it. I even had to ask Jeremy if he was done. I expected it to hurt more. My first experience had been a nightmare and this time really wasn't that bad. I still continued to dialate slowly and so they gave me Pitocin around 4pm and I was a 6 plus. When the nurse checked me again around 5:30pm I was a 9. Once they got everything ready my doctor (I just want to add here that I love my doctor, I think he is awesome) showed up and I pushed for about 15 minutes. I am so happy that I got an epidural :) The contractions I was having after my was broke were crazy intense.
So :) she was born at 5:54pm June 8th, weighing 8.8 pounds and was 20 inches long. I am so happy that we decided to have her induced. My doctor said he was glad we made that decision also. He said she probably would have stayed in there another week and then I could have been having almost a 10 pound baby!
She is so sweet and I can't stop looking at her!

Thank you everyone for all your love and support!

A little frustrated

Yesterday Jeremy, Jac and I went up the Cedar Canyon just a little ways and took a walk. It was such a nice day and we wanted to get out of the house and do something fun. Jac loved running up and down the trail and throwing rocks into the river. As we were coming down the mountain I needed to use the restroom so we stopped at Lins and I started having some pretty intense contractions. So we headed home and started timing them, every 3 to 5 minutes. After about an hour and a half we took Jac to my cousins house and headed to the hospital. They checked me and I was at a 2 plus which was awesome because when I went to my doctors appt. on Thursday I was not dilated at all. So they watched me for an hour and my contractions continued but weren't as intense and I hadn't changed so they sent me home. The nurse said that she thought I would be back in the morning to have this baby... The frustrating part is that here it is 9:24am and I am blogging :) I want to be having a baby :D
I know she will come when she is ready and I don't want her to come if she's not, I'm just a little bummed.

Today I am

37 weeks!!! I am full term and this little girl can come anytime she wants :) Well Jeremy is working in Bountiful this weekend ( He designed the new look for the Dicks up there and now gets to go help install everything. It's a pretty big deal. It's even going to be on the news :), so she can come anytime after Monday :) I am getting so excited to meet her. I still have a few more things to do, but I am ready. Jac doesn't know what's coming. The other day I told him that a little baby sister was coming to live with us forever and he said "NO!". But in all fairness no is his favorite word. As we are shopping he sits in the cart and yells no at anyone who passes by :)

Happenings

So I have a few minutes and thought I would write a little about what is going on at our house. As most of you know we have a puppy and between her and Jac I feel like I am going crazy sometimes :) I would not recommend getting a puppy while you are pregnant... not so much fun. I was wooed in by her cuteness. But she is teaching me alot and Jac has fun with her when she is not trying to chew on him. I take them both on a walk almost every morning and that in itself is an adventure.
I am almost 35 weeks (on Saturday) pregnant and can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone by compared to Jac's. I felt like his would never end! to get ready for her we are going to have yard sell and get rid of somethings that have just been in our house and we feel like we just don't need. Besides I need to make room to move all of Jac's baby clothes downstairs to make room for this little girls clothes. I really have been wanting to do this for a long time and Jeremy took Friday off and so we are going to get organizes!!! Thankfully my mom has agreed to take Jac Thursday and Friday night and that will make getting things ready MUCH easier. I won't have to worry about him running down the street or into the neighbors yard and up their latter! (he did that yesterday :)
We are also taking a birthing class at the hospital on Thursday nights. This has been a lot of fun and very informative. A lot of people think it's weird because we have had a baby, but we didn't take one with Jac. I really have learned a ton and besides it's some time that Jer and I are able to spend together.

So Bad...

I have been so bad with keeping this blog up lately. I blame it on only using the computer when I go to Washington because we don't have the Internet :) Still I wanted to share some of the things that have been going on lately with us. So here are a few pictures.

Easter weekend we went down to my parents house for the annual Easter egg hunt. Pop pop and Dad had to help Jac a little.

Jac was a little afraid of the Easter Bunny.

We painted eggs and Dad got a little bored and started painting Jac :)

When I was putting the little dye tablets in the cups Jac was just a little to quick and grabbed the blue tablet before I could stop him. Those thing dissolve instantly!!!

Jac was so excited to get his basket. He got a blue bat and balls, books, Silly song Cd's from Nana and "The Squeakal" from Pop pop.

This is our puppy, Maya. She is German Shepard/lab mix and has so much energy I think I am going to go crazy! :)

Jac really likes her, this is him giving her a kiss. They have a complicated relationship... it mostly involves him yelling "No no no no!" as she attempts "play" with him.

This is a cake I made. Some friends from my ward got together and and one of them taught us all how to make fondant with marshmallows. It was yummy!

I love this picture! My sister Tara and her family came up and we went sledding and bowling and this is Jeremy keeping track of Jac because he was running all over the bowling alley.

This was Jac's permanent position. We would just push him down the hill and then drag him back up. He loved it.

One of our very nice neighbors gave Jac this snow outfit and it was perfect for him this year!

Well, I will take some more pictures and try to get them up before they are a month old again :)
Pregnancy Update:
I am 32 weeks along and doing great. she is moving all the time and sometimes it make it hard to sleep, but I love to sit and watch my stomach move. I tell Jeremy she's dancing.
